Supreme State Auditor of the Sector for Auditing Local Authorities' Budgets, dr Dusko Pejovic, and State Auditor, Ms. Stojanka Milovanovic, held today in Arandjelovac a lecture on past experiences of the State Audit Institution in the financial statements and compliance audit process in local government units. Lecture was attended by 62 representatives from 21 local self-governments.

President of the State Audit Institution and Auditor General, Mr. Radoslav Sretenovic, participated in the final conference today, titled "Towards the European Union and Healthy Environment: What are the conditions for eco-financing in local communities", held in Belgrade. Research on this topic was presented on the Conference, which the Center for European Policy (CEP) implemented with the Ecological Center Staniste, within CSOnnect Institutional Grant.

In the premises of the State Audit Institution, a regular meeting was held between the President of SAI, Mr. Radoslav Sretenovic, and Mr. Igor Becic, Chairman of the Security Services Control Committee of the National Assembly.

Within Twinning Light Project titled "Audit Quality Control in the State Audit Institution", implemented by the SAI of Republic of Latvia for the benefit of the State Audit Institution of Serbia, a Workshop was organized from 10th to 13th October titled "International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAI) regarding Quality Assurance and Quality Control".

State Audit Institution of the Republic of Serbia (SAIS), in cooperation with State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia, officially marked beginning of mutual cooperation within the Twinning Light Project titled "Audit Quality Control in the State Audit Institution", which SAI of the Republic of Latvia implements to the benefit of the State Audit Institution of the Republic of Serbia.

Mr. Einar Gorrissen, Director General of the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), held presentations on SAI Performance Measurement Framework and role of SAI in monitoring of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), for the representatives of the State Audit Institution and its partners.

Delegation of the State Audit Institution of the Republic of Macedonia, comprising Ms. Tanja Janevska, Assistant Auditor General, Mr. Branko Smilevski, Audit Manager, Mr. Saso Jakovcevski, Assistant Auditor Manager and Mr. Vladimir Nikoloski, Auditor, made a working visit to the State Audit Institution of the Republic of Serbia, on 18th and 19th July 2017.

SAI delegation, comprising Mr. Miroslav Mitrović, Member of the Council, and Mr. Ivica Gavrilovic, Supreme State Auditor, participated in the work of the Seminar for Supreme Audit Institutions from the South East Europe within the Belt and Road Initiative, development strategy proposed by the Chinese President Xi Jinping in 2013.

State Audit Institution met with the members of the Committee for Finance, Republic Budget and Control of Public Funds' Spending of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, and members of the Committee on Budgetary Control of the European Parliament, and discussed results of the implemented Twinning Project "Strengthening Capacities of the State Audit Institution".
