State Audit Institution exercises international cooperation within its competences, in order to strengthen capacities and implement International Standards on Auditing. Within such cooperation, contacts were established with numerous Supreme Audit Institutions throughout the world, for the purpose of exchange of experience and audit enhancement.

State Audit institution has been a fully-fledged member of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) since November 2008, of the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) since June 2009 and of the Network of Supreme Audit Institutions of the EU Candidate and Potential Candidate Countries and the European Court of Auditors since August 2010.

Institution has the status of active observer in meetings of the Contact Committee of the Heads of the EU SAIs until the accession date, after which the Institution will have become a fully-fledged member.
