EUROSAI (European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions) is a regional organization of INTOSAI, created by its European members in 1989. It currently gathers 50 supreme audit institutions across Europe (49 SAIs of European states and European Court of Auditors).
Its goals primarily include promoting professional cooperation among member SAIs, exchange of information and documents, studying public sector auditing, encouraging creation of academic positions in this area and ensuring terminology unification in the area of public sector audit.
EUROSAI performs its activities through three bodies: The Congress, Governing Board and Secretariat. EUROSAI has five official languages: English, French, German, Russian and Spanish.
In June 2009, on its 35th assembly in Kiev, Ukraine, the Governing Board of EUROSAI approved full membership status to the State Audit Institution of Serbia.
State Audit Institution of Serbia acquired full membership in EUROSAI on 23rd June 2009.
