In addition to the audit report on the Draft Law on Final Statement of Accounts of the Budget of the Republic of Serbia for 2011, other reports will also be presented pertaining to audit of the budget and budget funds, public enterprises, budgets of local authorities, mandatory social insurance organizations and the National Bank of Serbia.

At the ceremony, organized by the State Audit Institution of Serbia and Delegation of EU to the Republic of Serbia, speeches will be given by:
- Mr. Radoslav Sretenović, President of the State Audit Institution
- His Excellency Mr. Vincent Degert, Head of Delegation of the EU Delegation to Serbia
- His Excellency Mr. Laurent Louis Stokvis, Ambassador of the Netherlands
- His Excellency Mr. Michael Davenport, Ambassador of the Great Britain
- Mr. André van Ommeren, Project Leader, Netherlands Court of Audit
Funded by the European Union with 1.4 million Euros, this two-year project aims at enhancing accountability and effective management of public funds in the Republic of Serbia and strengthening the State Audit Institution. The project will also provide further support to the State Audit Institution in aligning its organizational structure, procedures and practice with international standards and EU best practice. The project will assist in introducing new methodologies, such as Performance Audit, that will enable the State Audit Institution to apply the 3E concept and give responses about the value for money while reviewing economy, effectiveness and efficiency of tax payers’ money spending.
This Twinning project is implemented by three EU member states, Netherlands, United Kingdom and Slovenia, together with the Serbian counterparts.

The goal of the Conference is to contribute to spreading of awareness about the importance of financial accountability of the authorities through the activities of the State Audit Institution, bearing in mind the importance of this area for the EU accession process.

Having passed the exams, in front of the Commission for Taking of Exams, composed by prominent experts in economics, and in compliance with the Law on State Audit Institution, 39 State Auditors shall be certified and receive audit titles. These are the first certificates that the State Audit Institution issues to auditors.
